Ficken, Piper Named AMC Gold Glove Winners

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has released the 2021 AMC Baseball Gold Glove award winners. Kenny Piper (catcher) and Kole Ficken (third base) were honored.

Piper finished the year with a fielding percentage of .994 behind the plate and allowed just one passed ball. In addition, he threw out 20 base stealers.

Ficken made just ten errors in 123 chances at the hot corner for Columbia. He had 63 assists, 50 putouts and was a part of 11 double plays.
