Cougars Battle Cardinals

Westfield, Ind. – The RV Columbia College lacrosse team competed in their first road match up of the season, falling against No. 10 Concordia University (Mich.) 15-13.

Columbia secured a 4-3 lead out of the first quarter, with two goals from John Thomas. The Cougars produced five more goals in the second period, while Ethan Houston produced two, 9-8. Concordia recorded a strong offensive third quarter, notching six goals as compared to Columbia’s lone goal, 14-10. The Cougars looked to make a run, but were only able to score three in the final quarter, falling 15-13.

John Thomas was Columbia’s scoring leader with five, while Ethan Houston led in assists recording four. Bryce Peltier also produced 11 saves on the day against the Cardinals.

The Cougars move to 1-1 on the season with another opportunity ahead against No. 9 Benedictine (Kan.) on March 21 in Atchison, Kansas.
