Conrad Sets Personal Best During Day One of Raleigh Relays

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior Christopher Conrad ran a personal best time of 3:46.63 in the men’s 1500-meter run to headline the performances of the University of Missouri track and field team during day one of the Raleigh Relays on Thursday.

Twelve Tigers competed during the first day of action. In addition to the 1500m, Missouri entered athletes in the men’s 5000-meter run and the 3000-meter steeplechase.

NOTABLE FINISHES

  • Senior Marquette Hanson led the Tigers in the 5000m with a time of 14:01.70
  • Freshman Drew Rogers, a Second-Team All-SEC performer in cross country, opened his collegiate track career with a time of 14:08.59 in the event.
  • Sophomore Trevor Peimann, Missouri’s lone competitor in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossed the line in 9:24.40
  • Following Conrad in the 1500-meter run was freshmen Dan Brookling (3:49.19) and Alessandro Lotta (3:51.04)

UP NEXT

Missouri will be back in action for the 3:30 p.m. CT tomorrow for day two events. Freshman Renee Lewis and sophomore Kelsey Schweizer will begin the day for the Tigers in the women’s 1500-meter run.
