Border Showdown Sells Out; Remaining Hoops Tickets On Sale Today

Columbia, Mo. – The Hy-Vee Hoops Border Showdown between rivals Missouri and Kansas on Dec. 10 has sold out but fans still have the opportunity to see the unbeaten Tigers in action at Mizzou Arena this season as tickets for the team’s SEC slate plus final non-conference matchup are on sale today.

Mizzou has also announced an additional gameday experience for the Border Showdown with tailgate packages outside Mizzou Arena. Fans can purchase tents and additional luxuries at various prices for the day to best maximize their experience during the first meeting between the two rivals in Columbia in 11 seasons.

Tailgate Costs & Description:
• Varsity ($525):
10×10 tent, 5 chairs, 1 table with linens, signage, and heater
• All American ($975):

20×20 tent, 10 chairs, 3 tables with linens, 1 cooler, signage, and heater
• Club package ($1,200):
20×20 tent, 20 chairs, 3 tables with linens, 3 cocktail tables, 2 coolers, signage, and heater.

Fans can also buy an optional add on of a media package with a TV for $300, while the purchase of tailgating tents are not a substitute for a ticket and do not guarantee admission to the game.

While tickets sold out for the Border Showdown during an exclusive window for Tiger Scholarship Fund members, the remaining tickets for the 2022-23 Missouri basketball season go on sale this week.

General public tickets for all nine SEC games and the Tigers’ SEC-Big 12 Challenge contest versus Iowa State are available for purchase on Thursday morning at 10 a.m., while fans can buy tickets for the McBride Homes Braggin’ Rights rivalry game with Illinois – scheduled for Dec. 22 in St. Louis – starting on Friday morning at 10 a.m.

Through eight games of the 2022-23 season, Mizzou is enjoying its best start to a campaign in nearly a decade. The Tigers have won all eight of their games this season and are currently one of just 16 remaining unbeaten teams left in the country. MU looks to extend its winning ways to 9-0 this Sunday, hosting Southeast Missouri State at 3 p.m.
