Baseball Season Ends at NAIA Opening Round

Upland, Ind. – The Columbia College baseball team saw its season end at the hands of Taylor University at the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round.

The Scoring:

• T4 (CC): Devyn Lopez singled home Andrew Paten and Braden Desonia (CC 2, TU 0)
• B5 (TU): The Trojans scored a run on an RBI single (CC 2, TU 1)
• B8 (TU): Taylor added two runs in the eighth (CC 2, TU 3).

 
Inside the Box:

• Kellen Williamson and Devyn Lopez led the Cougars with two hits each.
• Lopez had two RBIs.
• Braden Desonia and Andrew Paten scored a run.
• Dan Fick pitched well going 7.2 innings allowing three earned runs and striking out six.
