Barnes, Dickerson Earn NAIA All-America Status

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the 2021 NAIA Softball All-Americans.

Taylor Barnes (Jr., O’Fallon, Mo.) was selected to the Honorable Mention team after hitting .432 with five triples, four doubles and three home runs. She drove in 18 runs and scored 44 times while going 35-for-37 on stolen bases. Barnes ranked No. 3 in the NAIA in runs scored per game (1.2), stolen bases per game (1.0), No. 4 in steal attempts per game (1.0), No. 11 in total steal attempts (37) and No. 11 in total stolen bases (35).

Joining Barnes on the Honorable Mention Team is Lexi Dickerson. Dickerson (Sr., Henley, Mo.) adds NAIA All-American to her resume for the first time in her career. She went 18-2 in the circle and posted a 1.03 ERA. She struck out 163 batters in 142.1 innings pitched and ranked No. 5 nationally in ERA (1.03), No. 10 in total runs allowed (25) and No. 12 in walks allowed per nine innings (0.7).
