COLUMBIA, Mo. – In honor of longtime staff member Tim Hickman, the University of Missouri Department of Athletics is establishing a scholarship in his name through the Tiger Scholarship Fund, Director of Athletics Desireé Reed-Francois announced.

Hickman, who is retiring from his position as Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Financial Officer, on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, has spent over 30 years working for Mizzou Athletics.

The Tim Hickman Scholarship Endowment will benefit Mizzou Athletics by providing a perpetual funding source for student-athlete scholarships. Through the support of our donors, the department of athletics funds over $12-million in scholarships annually at the University of Missouri.

Hickman, a Mizzou grad, started working at the Hearnes Center in 1990 and has made immeasurable contributions to the Tigers, including being involved in the design and construction of Mizzou Arena, the Farout Field South End Zone project and nearly every other athletics facilities project over the last two decades.

He has also been involved in securing some of the largest concerts ever to come to Columbia, including the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Kenny Chesney and the recent Chris Stapleton show.

For individuals interested in making a gift to the Tim Hickman Scholarship Endowment, please contact the Tiger Scholarship Fund at 573-882-0704.
