Anderson Adds Alivia Forshey to Staff

Alivia Forshey

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball head coach Larissa Anderson announced the addition of Alivia Forshey to the softball staff as the volunteer assistant coach. She will work primarily with the hitters and the outfielders.

“Alivia is an up-and-coming future coaching star in our sport.” Anderson said, ” I’ve been so impressed with her passion for the game, commitment to learning, and untiring work ethic. In her young coaching career, she has already created a strong coaching network which was derived from traveling and working collegiate camps around the country. Alivia will assist new hitting coach, Jeff Cottrill, as well as work with the outfield. She also has a strong background in analytics and statistical breakdown. We are excited to have Alivia join our staff.”

Forshey served as an assistant coach at Toledo during the 2022 season after spending time as an assistant coach at Sioux Falls and a graduate assistant at North Dakota State. During the summer of 2021, Forshey was an assistant coach with the Beverly Bandits travel organization.

The Tigers’ new staffer played collegiately at Bowling Green from 2015-18. She was recognized three times as an NFCA Scholar Athlete during her career.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the Tiger family!” Forshey said. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work with Coach Anderson, her staff, and the team. I look forward to doing everything I can to help Mizzou softball continue building champions on and off the field!”
