Tigers take 3rd in Atlantis
Mizzou basketball finished the Battle 4 Atlantis with a win.
Playing their 3rd game in as many days, the Tigers took on a very good VCU Rams team and came away with a 68-65 victory to claim 3rd place in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
In a game where neither team led by more than 8 points, the Tigers used clutch shooting late and Phil Pressey scored the final 5 points of the game to pick up the win.
Lawrence Bowers led all scorers in the game with 14 points. In the game, he also led the team with 11 rebounds, becoming the only player with a double double in the game. Pressey was the assist leader in the game with 8 (of Missouri’s 12).
Juvonte Reddic, Troy Daniels, and Treveon Graham each had 12 points to lead the Rams.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-1 on the season. They’ll return home for a game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers next Saturday, December 1, at 2pm. Pregame begins at 130pm on your home for Mizzou basketball, ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
