Tigers humiliated in Oxford

Missouri entered their game with Ole Miss looking to get to 2-0 in the SEC. Things didn’t go as planned in Oxford. The Tigers watched Mississippi race to a 9-0 lead before Tony Criswell scored the first points of the game for the Tigers.  It never got better for Mizzou as the Tigers fell 64-49 Saturday night.

Mizzou was, by coach Frank Haith’s own admission, out everything-d in the game.  They only shot 6 FT’s in the game and were 2-18 from 3, a dreadful 11.1%.

Jabari Brown led the Tigers with 13 points and was one of three Tigers in double figures.  Keion Bell had 11 and Phil Pressey added 10 points for the Tigers.  Pressey had 5 of the team’s 9 assists in the game and Brown and Bell tied for the team lead with 7 rebounds.

Missouri will return home to right the ship Wednesday as they welcome the Georgia Bulldogs to Mizzou Arena.  The game tips at 7pm with pregame beginning at 6:30pm on your home for Mizzou Tiger basketball, ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
