Missouri led early and held on long into the evening before the game was decided. In the longest game of the season, Missouri saw a lead slip away in the top of the 15th inning as they fell 4-3 to the Florida Gators Saturday.
Keaton Steele continued to impress, hitting a home run in the bottom of the first inning to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Logan Pearson drove in Shane Segovia to make the lead 3-0 after 2. The Tigers did not score again for 13 innings
Brett Graves pitched a strong 5 1/3 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out two. Steele entered the game and continued to impress on the mound as well, pitching 7 innings and striking out 5. He allowed the tying run, but was impressive in his outing.
Florida won the game in the 15th on a fielder’s choice off of Eric Anderson, who had come in to pitch in the 14th. He took his first loss of the season.
