Tigers Fall Again in Nashville

Too much hitting.  Too much Tyler Beede.  Too much Vanderbilt for the Tigers on Saturday. Brett Graves pitched well for the first two innings, but the Tigers could do nothing at the plate as they fell 12-1 to Vanderbilt in the second game of their series.

Vanderbilt’s Tyler Beede pitched 7 innings, striking out a career high of 10 Missouri Tigers and allowed only a HR to Case Munson, his first as a Tiger, for hits.

When Beede was in the dugout, the Vanderbilt Offense plastered 19 hits off Tiger pitchers, scoring in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings.

Missouri falls to 12-19 on the year and 4-10 in the SEC.  They’ll try to salvage a game in the series when they send reigning SEC player of the week Keaton Steele to the mound Sunday.  Pregame begins at 1245pm with first pitch right around 1pm.  You can catch all the action on your home for the Tigers, ESPN 100.5 and total sports station 103.1 KTGR.
