Tiger Women Get Defining Win vs Vols
After getting blown out by 45 in Knoxville in January, the Missouri Women’s Basketball team had something to prove against the Tennessee Lady Volunteers.Missouri pulled of an incredible upset of number 9 Tennessee Sunday afternoon in Mizzou Arena, getting an impressive 80-63 win.

Missouri controlled the game, despite only tying with the Vols in rebounds and having fewer steals in the game. They also lost Brianna Kulas and Lianna Doty during the game, each fouling out late in the second half. Missouri’s bench made the difference, outscoring the Lady Vols 34-3 off the bench. The Tigers 17 point victory also means a 62 point swing from the game in Knoxville.
In the game, Morgan Eye tied the all-time single season record when she hit her 90th 3 pointer of the year. She was 6-12 in the game and led the team with 26 points. She was joined in double figures by Kulas’ 20 and 10 from Liz Smith. Kulas and Eye tied for the rebound lead with 5 while Doty led the team with 7 assists before fouling out.
