Things didn’t start well for Mizzou in their battle against number 2 Louisville. It didn’t get better Friday Night.
An early 8 point deficit against the Cardinals turned into a blowout defeat as Mizzou lost for the first time Friday, 84-61.
Missouri had a season high 19 turnovers in the game, which Louisville turned into 25 points. It was also a career high in turnovers, with 8, for PG Phil Pressey.
Pressey and Alex Oriakhi were tied for the team lead in points with 15, while Pressey led the team with 8 assists as well. Oriakhi and Tony Criswell shared the rebound lead with 7.
Louisville had 5 players in double figures, led by Luke Hancock with 19 points.
With the defeat, Mizzou is now 4-1 on the season and will face Virginia Commonwealth tomorrow evening in the 3rd place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis. Pregame begins at 530pm with tipoff coming at 6pm on 1580AM and 103.1FM KTGR.
