St. Louis and San Francisco No Longer Fit to be Tied

Posted by bfreeman on December 2, 2012

It felt like Deja Vu all over again for the Rams and Niners in St. Louis on Sunday.

Greg Zuerlein did what the Rams kicker has been doing all season long, hitting a 53 yard FG to send the game to OT.  His 54 yard kick won the game for the Rams 16-13.

With 3 minutes remaining in the game, Colin Kaepernick attempted to pitch to Ted Ginn Jr. on an option play, only to see Ginn fumble and CB Jenoris Jenkins return the fumble for the Rams’ only TD of the game.  David Akers hit a 33 yard FG to give San Francisco a 13-10 lead before Zuerlein’s late game heroics.

Rams QB Sam Bradford was 26/39 for 221 yards and Steven Jackson had 48 yards on 21 carries.  Chris Givens continued to become the Bradford’s favorite target with Danny Ammendola out, catching 11 balls for 92 yards.

The Rams improve to 5-6-1 on the season and are now 4-0-1 against NFC West opponents.  They’ll be at Ralph Wilson Stadium next Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.  The game will begin at noon with pregame at 11am on your home for the St. Louis Rams ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
