KC powered its way to victory Tuesday night.Doing their best to dodge the falling rain, the Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-0 at Kauffman Stadium Tuesday.
The Royals got home runs from Billy Butler in the first and Jeff Francoeur in the seventh to put the game away. Alcides Escobar singled home Chris Getz for an insurance run later in the 7th.
Wade Davis picked up his first victory as a Royal, pitching 5 scoreless inning and striking out 6. Kelvin Herrera recorded his second save of the year.
With the sweep of the Twins, KC is now 6-3 on the season and 3-0 at home.
