Brody Watson forced a fumble of Kevin Batt recovered by the Bruins in the end zone to deny an attempt of a game-winning score and seal the game for the Bruins.

Logan Twehous shook off an uncharacteristic six-interception game to throw two fourth-quarter touchdowns to put Rock Bridge ahead. Batt was a thorn in the Bruins side, responding to the first touchdown in the final frame with a 53-yard run to allow quarterback Mike Glass to put the Hawks back in front. The Hazelwood Central running back gashed Rock Bridge for 352 yards, but two key fumbles spurred momentum changes for the Bruins.

Twehous connected with Zack Reuter from 35 yards out with 2:12 to play for what would be the game-winning score.

Rock Bridge advances to its fifth state final, its first since 1993, and will look to capture the first state football title since 1977. The Bruins ruined the Hawks’ 15-0 all-time record in state semifinals.

The Show-Me Bowl in St. Louis will be the Bruins’ first game at the Edward Jones Dome as they face the Blue Springs Wildcats. Coverage begins Friday on KTGR at 7:15 for a 7:30 scheduled kick at the Dome.
