As first reported by the Columbia Daily Tribune, the Missouri Tigers will open their basketball season with an exhibition game against Oklahoma City University at the Hearnes Center on October 25th.
The Tigers have not hosted a game since Hearnes closed its doors for basketball in 2004. The game will honor the 20th anniversary of the 1993-94 Tigers who went 14-0 in Big 8 play and advanced to the Elite Eight.
Admission to the game will be free, and Missouri will feature it as part of Homecoming Weekend, with their home football game against South Carolina the next day.
The Hearnes Center is currently home to Missouri’s volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling teams, and has been host in recent years to the MSHSAA small-school basketball state semifinals.
