The baseball community had a heavy heart Wednesday night with news of the death of former player and longtime coach / manager, Don Zimmer. He was 83, and spent 66 years in the game.
St. Louis Cardinal fans may remember him as the manager of the Chicago Cubs when they won the NL East in 1989. Kansas City Royals fans will remember his long tenures as a coach with the championship-winning Yankees teams in the 1990’s, or the Tampa Bay Rays.
