After what seemed like a roller coaster ride at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas Saturday, the men of Mizzou wrestling came up one point short of being crowned champions.
The Tigers flip-flopped with the Ohio State Buckeyes all day for the top spot, but the tournament was ultimately decided in the Championship Bracket Finals, when No. 1 ranked Logan Stieber of Ohio State, received bonus points as he scored a 12-1 victory over Nathan McCormick of Missouri.
Individually, both Mizzou and Ohio State crowned two champions in the tournament. However, because of Steiber’s head-to-head victory over McCormick, Ohio State took the overall tournament title by a final score of 124.5 – 123.5.
