It was another struggle at the plate for Mizzou baseball. The Tigers managed just 6 hits in the game and lost 4-1 to Texas A&M Sunday.
Missouri scored in the first inning again Sunday when Dylan Kelly singled to drive in Logan Pearson, who walked to start the game. Dane Opel would be the only multi-hit Tiger on the day. A&M scored its 4 runs in the middle innings to gain the advantage.
The news was not all bad for Missouri as Eric Anderson made his first start since February. He allowed 2 runs, but pitched 4 2/3 innings less than a year after Tommy John surgery. He took the loss, falling to 0-2 on the season.
Missouri is off this week but heads to Tuscaloosa next weekend for a 3 game series vs Alabama. After the sweep, the Tigers remain in 12th place in the SEC, precariously hanging onto a spot in the SEC tournament. Friday’s game begins at 6:35pm with pregame around 6:20pm on your home for the Tigers, ESPN 100.5 and total sports station 103.1 KTGR.
