Lawerence Bowers and Alex Oriakhi combined for 22 first half points and helped Mizzou to a halftime lead before pulling away in the second half.Bowers finished with 18 and Oriakhi had 15 as the Tigers cruised to a 68-38 victory Saturday Afternoon.
Missouri once again started slow, turning the ball over 11 times in the first half and holding only a 23-20 lead against the Tigers from Tennessee State. In the second half, it was Mizzou who shook off the first half to take control of the game, outscoring the Tigers 45-18 after the midway point.
Outside of the double doubles from both Oriakhi and Bowers (each with 10 rebounds), Stefan Jankovic added 14 points in the game. Negus Webster-Chan led the team with 4 assists in the game.
Robert Covington, considered by many to be TSU’s best player, finished the game with 12 points.
