We know which “Power Five” football team the Missouri Tigers will play in a few years.Mizzou Athletics announced a home-and-home series with Purdue that begins in 2017 at Faurot Field. In 2018, the Tigers will travel to West Lafayette to face the Boilermakers.
The schools have met on the gridiron eight times before, with Purdue holding a 6-2 series lead. Their last meeting with in the 1980 Liberty Bowl, where Purdue bested the Tigers, 28-25. When the Boilermakers visit Memorial Stadium on September 16th, 2017, it will be their first trip to Columbia since a 16-7 road win in 1956.
A check of Mizzou’s future schedules also shows the Tigers have pushed back their meetings with the Memphis Tigers to 2019 and 2020. That home-and-home series was previously set to begin in 2015.
