Mizzou started the game on a 7-0 run and led by as many as 28 in the first half. The Moutaineers got any closer.
Bowers led the Tigers with his career high-tying points while Phil Pressey had 7 assists. Earnest Ross led the team with 9 rebounds.
Jay Canty led Appalachian State with 29 points.
