The University of Missouri has dismissed Dorial Green-Beckham from the Missouri football team.
Green-Beckham was involved in an alleged burglary last Sunday morning, his third off-the-field incident, but was not arrested or charged with a crime. The incident report alluded to Green-Beckham pushing a girl down four stairs after forcefully entering a home looking for his girlfriend.
In a statement released by Mizzou Athletics: “This decision was made with the best interests of all involved in mind,” said Head Coach Gary Pinkel. “Dorial’s priority going forward needs to be focusing on getting the help he needs. As we have all along, we will continue to do everything we can to assist Dorial and his family. We care deeply about Dorial and his well-being, but hopefully he can benefit from a fresh start,” he said.
The statement said that the decision to dismiss Green-Beckham was made in conjunction with Athletic Director Mike Alden.
