Mizzou finishes exhibition season unbeaten

Sunday afternoon at Mizzou Arena, the Missouri Tiger basketball team completed a 2-0 exhibition season as they prepare to open their 2012-2013 season.

Mizzou took on Missouri Southern in their second game of the exhibition season and defeated the Lions 86-60.

Stefan Jankovic led all scorers with 20 points and was one of five Tigers in double figures for the game.  Negus Webster-Chan had 14, Tony Criswell had 13, Lawrence Bowers had 11, and Earnest Ross had 10.  Bowers led the team with 8 rebounds and Phil Pressey led with 8 assists.

Missouri Southern was led by Marquis Addison who had 19 points.

The Tigers get things going for real next Saturday as they welcome the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars to Mizzou Arena to kick off the regular season.  The game will begin at 4pm and we’ll have coverage following the football game between the Mizzou football team and Tennessee Volunteers.  That game will begin at 11:21am and you can hear all the action on your home for the Missouri Tigers, ESPN 100.5 and 103.1 KTGR.
