Mizzou Falls at The Summit

Missouri faced a daunting task against Tennessee Thursday evening in Knoxville.Missouri started 3-3 against the Volunteers, but a 9-0 run to follow ended much of the drama as the Tigers fell to the Vols, 84-39.

Tennessee, who came into the game ranked number 9 in the country, bested the Tigers in all facets of the game.  Mizzou matched their SEC record for attempted 3 pointers, but unlike their game against Auburn the previous Sunday, Missouri made just 9 of their 36 attempts.

The Tigers were led once again in scoring by Morgan Eye, who had 18 points and 7 rebounds in the game.  No other Tiger was in double figures in the game, ahtough Bri Kulas did have 9 points and 7 rebounds of her own. The Vols were led by Meighan Simmons who had 18 points.

Missouri falls to 12-5 on the season and 1-2 in the SEC.  Things don’t get any easier for the Tigers as they welcome the number 6 Kentucky Wildcats to Mizzou Arena this sunday at 12:30pm.  Pregame begins at 12:15 on your home for Mizzou Women’s Basketball, ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
