In a game that went back and forth from the opening tip, the Missouri Tigers held on for a much needed victory.Earnest Ross hit two clutch free throws with less than 2 seconds left to secure the 66-64 victory for the Tigers Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.

Phil Pressey had a career day scoring the basketball, leading the Tigers with 26 points, although he had a season low 5 assists in the game.  His last assist was the biggest, leading to a Keion Bell dunk that all but sealed the game for the Tigers.

Missouri was outrebounded for the first time all season (39-38) and had 6 fewer assists on the afternoon.  But the Tigers found a way to hold on against a Bucknell team looking for their 14th win of the season.

Along with Pressey’s 26, the Tigers got 16 points from Lawrence Bowers.  No other Tiger was in double figures in the game.  Bucknell was led by Mike Muscala’s 25 points and saw two other Bison players in double figures.

Missouri finishes their non-conference portion of the schedule at 11-2 on the season, including another perfect season at Mizzou Arena (their 73rd consecutive home non-conference win).  They’ll open the SEC portion of their schedule Tuesday when the welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to Mizzou Arena at 7pm.  Pregame begins at 630pm on your home for the Tigers, ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
