The Missouri Tigers finished the regular season 34-0 and undefeated for the first time in the NCAA-Tournament era in program history after sweeping Arkansas Wednesday night (25-11, 25-16, 29-27).
The Tigers were led by freshman Carly Kan with 15 kills and Lisa Henning had 14 kills on her senior night. Senior setter Molly Kreklow continued to add to her impressive season with 45 assists.
Mizzou, having already clinched the SEC title, became the first team in conference history to post an undefeated regular season.
The third set defined the match, with neither team having more than a two-point lead and Missouri thwarting an Arkansas set point and the Razorbacks fighting off two from the Tigers before falling.
Missouri will find out who they will host in the NCAA tournament’s first and second rounds on Selection Sunday. The Tigers will host a watch party at 7:30 at the Clinton Club inside Mizzou Arena. Fans can watch the Selection Show on ESPNU at 8:30 Sunday night.
