The Missouri Tigers signed three players for the 2013-14 campaign in the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.
Johnathan Williams, III, a 6-9, 210 pound forward comes to the Tigers from Memphis, Tennessee. He selected Missouri over Michigan State, Memphis and Georgetown and ESPN ranks him as the 37th best player in the country.
Torren Jones chose Missouri over his home state school Arizona, among others, and will provide a lengthy presence with his 6-8 frame. Prep Spotlight ranked him as the 65th best prospect of this year’s freshman.
Missouri rounded out this year’s class with a point guard in Wes Clark, who hails from the Detroit area. Clark is ranked #70 in the country by Rivals.com and starts at the point for Romulus High School, the top-ranked school in the state of Michigan.
Provided there are no early departures, Mizzou will look to fill at least one more slot for 2013 in the Spring Signing period which begins in April. The Tigers may need to fill a second spot if Phil Pressey decides to declare for the NBA Draft and forego his senior season.
