The Alabama Crimson Tide plated three runs in the ninth inning to dispatch of the Missouri Tigers, 7-6, in the finale of the three-game series Sunday afternoon.
A sacrifice fly, a single and a double put away the Tigers, who blew a 6-4 lead going to the ninth inning.
The Tigers did their damage in a five-run seventh inning with RBIs from Josh Lester, Dane Opel and Scott Sommerfeld, but the runs were not enough.
The Tigers go into the final weekend of play even with Tennessee in the win column for the final playoff spot in the SEC Tournament. Play begins Thursday for Mizzou hosting Kentucky, with coverage on KTGR at 5:45 from Taylor Stadium.
