Mizzou Advances Over A&M in Nashville

Mizzou lost by 2 in College Station earlier in the season.  They made up for it Thursday night.The Tigers started the game on a 5-0 run and never trailed as they advanced past Texas A&M 62-50 in the first round of the SEC Tournament.

Missouri never trailed in the game, a first for them since the non-conference season wrapped up in December.  It also improves the Tigers to 4-0 in games against teams who beat them earlier in the season.

Mizzou was led in scoring by Alex Oriakhi with his 13 points.  Tony Criswell, Jabari Brown, and Lawrence Bowers all had 10 points for the Tigers.  Oriakhi completed his double double effort with 10 rebounds while Phil Pressey led the team with 6 assists in the game.

With the win, the Tigers advance to the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament.  They’ll face Ole Miss Friday with tip off of the game coming at 9pm.  Missouri and Ole Miss split their two games in the regular season with each team winning on their home court.  Missouri is 23-9 on the season and looks to reach the semifinals of a conference tournament for the second consecutive year.  The game will be heard in its entirety on 96.7 KCMQ and will be joined in progress following Mizzou baseball on ESPN 100.5 and total sports staion 103.1 KTGR.
