Miller Throws Gem As Cards Blank Rox

Shelby Miller allowed a leadoff single and then retired 26 consecutive Colorado Rockies in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 3-0 victory.

Miller struck out 13 with no walks, improving to 5-2 on the season. The Cards earned their runs on Pete Kozma second-inning single, a Carlos Beltran solo home run and a Jon Jay fifth-inning sacrifice fly.

The Cardinals have won eight of their last nine games, and look to try and clinch the series Saturday afternoon. Adam Wainwright goes against Jhoulys Chacin with coverage on the Zimmer Sports Network beginning at 12:20 PM.
