Laurence Bowers will miss at least the Ole Miss and Georgia games with a sprained MCL.
Bowers was injured when he fell over Phil Pressey during Missouri’s 84-68 win over Alabama. An MRI Wednesday revealed the sprain but no structural damage to the ACL or the bone.
The injury to Bowers was not on the surgically repaired left knee, but his previously unhurt right knee. Bowers missed all of last season with a torn left ACL.
Bowers is Missouri’s leading scorer at 16.8 points per game, joining Tony Criswell on the injured list. Criswell has missed Mizzou’s last three games with a broken middle finger. Bowers will be reevaluated next week to determine the status for Missouri’s game at Florida on January 19th.
Missouri plays Ole Miss Saturday evening at 7 PM, with coverage on the Zimmer Sports Network at 6:30.
