Missouri had a late lead, but familiar problems doomed the Tigers once again.Missouri scored in the 6th inning, taking a 1-0 lead, but a shaky 8th inning helped the Southern Miss Golden Eagles to a 6-1 win.

Jace James, a sophomore making his first Tiger start, pitched 5 impressive innings.  He allowed no runs and just 3 hits.  He didn’t walk a batter and struck out one while firing just 61 pitches.

It was the bullpen that did the Tigers in on Sunday, allowing 5 hits and all 6 Golden Eagle runs.  John Miles took the loss for the Tigers, his first of the season.
