The Kansas City Royals made it three consecutive wins over three different teams with a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night.
A five-run eighth got things done for the Royals, as Chris Getz opened the scoring with an RBI-single. Jarrod Dyson executed a squeeze play to perfection for the second run and he was one of the three Alex Gordon drove in with his bases-clearing double.
Billy Butler’s solo home run in the ninth inning put the icing on the game after Minnesota got a run back in their half of the eighth.
KC plays game two of the series Wednesday evening with Bruce Chen taking on Andrew Albers at 7:10 PM.
