Kansas City Walks Off On O’s

Alcides Escobar’s double off the top of the left-centerfield wall gave the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 walkoff victory in the ninth inning over the Baltimore Orioles.

Escobar’s double hit the top of the fence, scoring David Lough all the way from first. Eric Hosmer drove in the rest of the Royals runs, with a solo homer in the second and an eighth-inning two run shot to tie the game.

Ervin Santana earned a no decision with eight innings of work and three runs allowed, with only one earned.

KC goes for the series win tonight with Jeremy Guthrie facing Miguel Gonzalez at 7:10 PM.
