John Burns is leaving the Hickman Kewpie basketball sideline after just one season!The former Mizzou Tiger player under Norm Stewart is now a former Kewpie coach. John Burns was named head coach on May 8, 2009 and after one season as the general for the Kewps he is leaving for a coaching gig in Arizona. The coach will be headed to Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Ariz.
The Kewpies made massive improvements on the court and were just a few shots short of winning the District title but were knocked off by Holt.
According to Doug Mirtz the Hickman Athletic Director the job will be posted very soon and he hopes to have a new coach in place by May 17.
