Historic Start for Mizzou Baseball

Posted by bfreeman on February 25, 2013

The Mizzou baseball team did something Sunday they’d never done before.
Missouri tied the game with Memphis at 1 in the top of the seventh, but their late inning problems reared their head again as the Tigers fell 8-2.

Mizzou’s Eric Anderson made his 2013 debut, pitching 2 innings and allowing the first run of the game on only 2 hits.  Missouri’s struggles at the plate continued, scoring just 2 runs in the game, and 5 total in the series.

Missouri starts 2013 0-6, their worst start ever for a season.  They’re home for their Taylor Stadium opener this friday when they welcome Northwestern to Columbia for a three game series.  Friday’s game begins at 6pm with Saturday’s first pitch at 2pm and Sunday at 1pm.  Pregame begins 15 minutes before first pitch with Tex Little and Hunter Mense on your home for Mizzou baseball, ESPN 100.5 and Total Sports Station 103.1 KTGR.
