Green Bay overpowers Mizzou Women

Mizzou was within two of the Phoenix midway through the second half Friday evening but the game got away from them quickly.The women trailed by just 4 at halftime but an ice cold second half of shooting found the Tigers dropping their first contest of the season 55-33 to the Green Bay Phoenix.

With 11:20 remaining in the second half, Mizzou trailed Green Bay 35-33.  After that, the Phoenix went on a 20-0 run to close out the game, and the win.

Morgan Eye led the Tigers with 9 points in the game.  Sydney Crafton had 9 rebounds and Lianna Doty had 2 assists to lead the team.

Mizzou drops their first contest of the season and stands at 4-1.  They wrap up the Cancun Challenge Saturday against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.  Pregame begins at 445pm with tip coming at 5.  You can catch all the action of Mizzou women’s basketball on ESPN 100.5 KTGR.
