An offense that didn’t do much for most of the game came to life when it needed to the most.Brandon Gibson caught the ball in the back of the end zone and Chris Givens added the 2 point conversion as the St. Louis Rams defeated the Buffalo Bills 15-12 Sunday afternoon in Buffalo.
The Bills led 6-0 at halftime on the strength of Rian Lindell’s two FG’s, but a Steven Jackson 1 yard TD gave the Rams a 7-6 lead.
Ryan Fitzpatrick found Lee Evans for a 2 yard TD but the 2 point conversion failed, setting the Rams up for a chance to win the game, trailing by just 5 late in the 4th Quarter.
QB Sam Bradford finished the game 19/39 for 209 yards and the game winning TD pass. Jackson had 19 carries for 64 yards and the one TD.
St. Louis is now 6-6-1 on the season and remains very much in the playoff hunt. They’ll have a chance to improve their record and knock out one of their NFC Wild Card opponents next week when they welcome the Minnesota Vikings to the Edward Jones Dome next Sunday at noon.
