Garcia Stymies Astros; Cards Move Closer to Prize

St. Louis continues to take care of business, securing its eighth win in nine games with a 4-0 victory over Houston Tuesday night.

The Cards started things with an RBI from Yadier Molina in the first and the first of two RBIs from Jon Jay in the second inning. Jaime Garcia threw seven scoreless innings, and Pete Kozma drove in a run for the third straight game.

The Redbirds go for the sweep and a chance to close out the season series with 11 straight wins over Houston on Wednesday. Chris Carpenter goes for St. Louis against Bud Norris with coverage on KTGR at 6:10 PM.
