Bri Kulas, Lianna Doty, and Morgan Eye were all rewarded after Missouri’s successful first season in the SEC.The three Tigers were awarded Tuesday when the SEC announced their 2013 Postseason honors.
Kulas, a Junior from Shawnee Mission, KS, was named to the All-SEC Second team after averaging 14.1 points per game for the Tigers. She’s also had 5 double doubles in 2012-2013 and leads the team with 6.6 rebounds.
Following in the footsteps of Kyley Simmons last year, Lianna Doty was named the All-SEC Freshman team. She leads the conference with 4.8 assists per game.
Missouri’s sharpshooter Morgan Eye was named as a co-6th woman of the year. She’s the first Tiger to ever be named 6th woman of the year. She averaged 13.5 points a game including 108 of Missouri’s SEC-record 157 three pointers. Her 108 threes are a school record and tied for the all time SEC record.
Missouri takes on Vanderbilt in their first game of the SEC tournament beginning tomorrow as Mississippi State and Alabama play in the play in game. Things really get going Thursday and the Tigers and Commodores face off at approximately 5pm.
