Carl Edwards had a miserable week in Daytona. Sunday Afternoon may have helped his spirits.Edwards won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Edwards started the race in 15th before navigating his way to the front of the pack midwday through the race.
The win for Edwards is his first in 70 races for the 99 car. After Daytona, Edwards was 30th in the Sprint Cup standings for 2013, but the win should vault him into the top 10 early in the season.
