The Los Angeles Dodgers survived a ninth-inning rally from the St. Louis Cardinals to force a Game Six with a 6-4 victory Wednesday afternoon.
Matt Adams and Pete Kozma each drove in runs and brought the go-ahead run to the plate, but Adron Chambers struck out looking to end the game.
The Dodgers used the long ball almost exclusively to build their lead, with two solo home runs from Adrian Gonzalez between two more by Carl Crawford and AJ Ellis. The first Gonzalez home run broke a 2-2 tie, after the two teams scored in consecutive frames in the second and third.
Los Angeles and St. Louis meet again for Game Six with Clayton Kershaw facing Michael Wacha. Hear the coverage Friday night on ESPN 100.5 KTGR at 6:42 PM.
