On Day 3 of the NFL Draft, the Chiefs continued to overhaul their roster for next year. Kansas City had five picks on day 3 of the draft and added depth at several key positions.

After going offense on day 1 and 2, Kansas City started day 3 off by selecting Nico Johnson from Alabama.

They continued their defensive push in the fifth round, taking Georgia corner Sanders Commings to play in the defensive backfield.

Their first of two 6th round picks was center Eric Kush out of California (PA), a division 2 school.

KC’s second 6th round selection was more local, drafting Kansas State FB Braden Wilson.

The Chiefs wrapped up their draft with the selection of Mike Catapano in the 7th round.  Catapano is a DE out of Princeton.
