In an all too familiar situation, the Chiefs found themselves in a game decided by field goals. This time, it was Raiders kicker Sebastian Janakowski who hit 5 of his 6 attempts to drop the Chiefs Sunday afternoon, 15-0.
It was not the Chiefs’ day in all facets of the game. They were 1-12 on 3rd down, had only 7 first downs, and ran just 46 plays in the game. Jamaal Charles, who had 3 straight 100 yard rushing games was held to 10 yards on 9 carries.
Brady Quinn played solidly in the game, going 18/32 for 136 yards, but did have an INT in the game. His top target, Dwayne Bowe, was placed on injured reserve Saturday, ending his season.
The Chiefs are 1-6 on the road in 2012 and 2-12 overall on the season. Things don’t get easier for Kansas City as they welcome Andrew Luck and the 9-5 Indianapolis Colts to Arrowhead Stadium next Sunday at noon.
