After 4 years in the Crescent City of New Orleans, Former Mizzou QB Chase Daniel is returning to the Show Me State.ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported shortly after NFL Free Agency began that the Kansas City Chiefs had signed former Tiger Chase Daniel.
Shefter is reporting the deal is for 3 seasons. Value of the contract was not announced.
Daniel is the career leader at Mizzou in nearly every major passing category. He led the Tigers to 2 bowl wins in his career and was a 2007 Heisman Finalist, Missouri’s first finalist since Paul Christman.
Daniel was not drafted in 2009 and after a short stint with the Washington Redskins in the 2009 preseason, signed with the New Orleans Saints where he was the backup QB on their Super Bowl XLIV winning team.
