The St. Louis Cardinals brought their bats to even their series with the Miami Marlins with a blowout, 13-7, victory.

The Cards bursted with a five run first, but led only 7-6 after three innings. Carlos Beltran homered twice for two of his three hits and David Freese homered as one of his three. Daniel Descalso knocked three hits and also drew a bases-loaded walk for an RBI.

Lance Lynn went “five-and-fly” with seven runs allowed in five innings, enough to hold on to his ninth victory of the season.

The rubber game of the three-game series takes place Sunday with Tyler Lyons facing Ricky Nolasco. Hear the game on KTGR beginning at 11:15 AM.
