The St. Louis Cardinals struck with four runs in the sixth inning to beat Bronson Arroyo and the Cincinnati Reds, 5-1, to even up their series at a game apiece.
Matt Adams kick-started the rally with a two-run, pinch-hit home run off Arroyo. The Reds righty had been perfect through the first five, but more runs came for the Redbirds on RBIs by Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran.
St. Louis put up an insurance run in the eighth with Matt Carpenter scoring on a Manny Parra wild pitch.
The sixth-inning outburst made a winner out of Lance Lynn, who struck out 10 through six innings.
